Kerala State Film awards for the year 2016 has been declared today evening by Minister AK Balan

The Kerala State Film awards for the year 2016 has been declared today evening. The awards has been announced by Minister AK Balan.The best actor award has been won by Vinayakan for his performance in the movie named Kammattipadam directed by Rajeev Ravi and scripted by P Balachandran. The best Actress Award has been given to Rejisha Vijayan for her performance in the movie named Anuraga Karikkin Vellam. It was directed by Khalid Rahman. Manhole won the best movie award and its director Vidhu Vincent won the best director award.

The popular movie award was won by Maheshinte Prathikaran directed by Dileesh Pothen and produced by Ashiq Abu. The best screenplay award was won by Shaym Pushkaran for the screenplay for Maheshinte Prathikaram. M Jayachandran won the best music director award for Kamboji and KS Chithra won the best female singer award for the same film. Manikandan Achari won the second best actor award for his performance in Kammattipadam and Master Chethan had won the best child artist award for his performance in Guppy.Best second film award has been won by Ottayadi Patha and best male singer is Soorej for his song in the movie Guppy. VK Kanjana is the second best actress and Salim Kumar won the award for best story writer for his film Karutha Joothan. Best debutant director was Shanavas Bavakutty for Kismath and best lyricist was ONV Kuruppu
