Oppam, the movie from Complete Actor Mohanlal and Master Director Priyadarshan had graced the screens all over Kerala today. Priyadarshan had scripted and directed this movie and Mohanlal had played the lead in it as we mentioned above. Mohanlal played a full-fledged blind man character for the first time in his career and this movie is a crime thriller in its genre as well. A newcomer named Govind Vijayan had written the story of this eagerly anticipated movie and it has been bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas.

The movie revolves around the character played by Mohanlal and his name is Jayaraman, who is a visually challenged person. Without any doubt we can say that Priyadarshan had become successful in making one of the best thrillers we ever saw in Malayalam Cinema history, through this film named Oppam. Both as a writer and director, this man had given us a fabulous output. His screenplay was terrific and each and every situations in the plot was very much convincing to the viewer. The dialogues were too good as well. The way he narrated the whole plot was very refreshing and the making part was awesome too. Each frame in the movie had his signature in it. He cleverly included all the elements to make you entertained as viewer at the same time never let his grip go off from the basic plot. It was a stunning comeback from him after two failures in the recent past.

Mohanlal once again showed the world that why he has been called as the complete actor or the finest actor Indian Cinema had ever seen. As Jayaraman, he had given a stunning performance to say the very least. His each movements were so natural and subtle. Viewers may feel that he is actually a blind man and that much is the naturality of his acting. Even though it is a clichéd sentence, we have to say once again that he lived as Jayaraman in this flick. Other artists like Vimala Raman, Samuthirakani, Innocent, Anusree, Harish Kanaran, Renji Panicker, Nedumudi Venu, , Kunjan, Mamukkoya, Chemban Vinod Jose, Bineesh Kodiyeri, Aju Varghese, Kalabhavan Shajon, Siddique, Kalasala Babu, etc also done a great job in the movie. DOP by Ekambaram was just great and his frames were really stunning throughout. The color tone used in some sequences were made it look like a Hollywood film. Songs for this movie were composed by a team called 4 Music and they were given the best songs of this year through this movie. Background scoring by Maya fame Ron Yohan was terrific and the atmosphere in the movie was really set by its background music. Editing was done by Ayyappan Nair and he did a fine job as well with neat cuts. Sound Design of this movie has been done by Vishnu Govind and Sree Sankar who shot to fame through movies like Premam, Charlie and Kali and they had done a commendable job this time as well.

We can say without any doubt that Oppam is one of the great cinematic experience we had in recent times in Mollywood. It is one of the best thrillers as well as entertainers that released this year in Malayalam. Don’t Miss it, because it is indeed one of the best from Mohanlal- Priyadarshan movie.
